| Now move to the rear section of piping and repeat the oiling process. I also had to jack up the piping just before the muffler in order to get the rear to line up (it also helped to get the hanger just behind the muffler to reach the frame. Once you have it somewhat lined up, install the rearmost hanger onto the piping and bolt it to the frame. This will keep the piping held up while you work. Save the middle hanger for last. Do your best to ensure you get this section in as far as possible. I used the deadblow again, along with a piece of wood, right where the hanger is welded to the piping. | ![]() |

Once the piping is all in place, go back and install the middle hanger to the frame. I had to jack the piping up a bit to get everything lined up, and the result was this bend in the forward plate. I'm a little concerned about the hanger rod hitting the plate and possibly causing vibrations, but we'll see. |
| After everything is in place, go back and tighten and then torque all of the nuts and install the u-bolt clamps onto the muffler and Y pipe section. The 14mm flange nuts get 43 ft-lbs and the U-bolt nuts get 35 ft-lbs. Also make sure you tie the heat shield onto the Y pipe using the metal wire ties provided. Install the giant tip and ratchet it down all the way. | ![]() |

Then just reconnect the battery, start her up, and enjoy the music! A quick drive around the block will blow out any of the oil or shavings that may be in the pipe. Don't worry if you see fluid coming out of the tailpipe. |
